Culinova draws on the 30 years of nutrition development and manufacturing experience of its founder and its affiliates to provide turnkey solutions -- from initial research and recipe development to regulatory compliance and full production.

  • Research. Literature search, competitive product analysis, medical sign-off, optimized nutritional profiles. The company also participates in studies funded by government agencies, such as the National Institute of Health and the Center for Disease Control.
  • Assemble condition specific product lines. This can include sourcing from existing producers as well as new product development
  • Creation of recipes. Start with a food recipe that tastes great, then add suitable nutrition, then make sure it still tastes great. May require numerous iterations. This is the heart and soul of the process.
  • Prototype production. Prepare and test hand made samples. Customer will be shown samples for taste and texture approval.
  • Identify and select suitable manufacturers. The best possible plant equipped with the right equipment and meeting GMP standards is selected. This stage will include on-site visits and negotiations.

  • Packaging design and production. We oversee the process from graphic design to interfacing with packaging manufacturer. Client can generate the actual graphics or we can take over that aspect with our creative affiliate. Once finished artwork is produced, printed film production can take as much as eight weeks.
  • Regulatory approvals. Where appropriate, we deal with regulatory issues. This is an essential step prior to final packaging design
  • Pilot production. We supervise a short production run in the selected facility, using actual production equipment. This is designed to shake out potential production bugs. Once satisfactory pre-production samples are obtained they are brought to the client’s attention for final approval.
  • Nutritional analysis. Precise nutritional analysis can only take place following initial pilot production. This provides firm parameters for labeling requirements. We generate in-house computer generated nutritionals, and send samples to laboratory for confirmation.
  • Supervision and management of manufacturing process. We are present at every production run to provide quality assurance prior to product acceptance and shipping.
